When should I book my session?
Maternity Session: Best booked for anytime between 32 and 36 weeks.
Newborn Session: Best booked anytime between 5 and 12 days old.
We can be fully booked out a month or two in advance. Please book as early as you can to avoid disappointment!
How do I book my session?
Bookings can now be made online! Simply go to the 'Book Now' tab and select your Session Type, choose your preferred date and complete your deposit payment to confirm your booking.
What do I bring to my session?
Maternity Session: Just your beautiful self! All styling is provided.
Newborn Session: Yourself and your new baby, your nappy bag, and extra bottles and formula if bottle feeding your baby.
Children/Family Sessions: We recommend bringing two or three outfits for everyone participating in the session. You can also opt for 'Suitcase Styling' for a less stressed option!
'Suitcase Styling': Throw in a mix n matched pile of clothing options for each person into a suitcase or bag and bring it with you on the day of your session. We will style it together with what's in the bag! Have fun and get creative! Bring some 'dress ups'!
N.B. Please, no shoes required for children when booking a studio session.
What do I do about Hair and Makeup for my session?
Either come 'photo ready' with your H+MU already done, bring your kit and use my bathroom to do your own at the studio or contact me to arrange a HMUA through the studio (additional $150)
When do I pay for my photographs?
Session Fees/Booking Fees: Required to confirm your session date. Must be received at the time of booking.
Purchases: Full payment or a minimum 50% deposit payment is required at your Ordering Appointment, which is booked within two weeks of your session day.
Do you have payment plans? Can I use Afterpay?
Yes! We have payment plans! We require a 50% deposit of your total invoice amount at your Ordering Appointment. Flexible payment arrangements can be discussed with full payment required within 4 weeks of your Ordering Appointment.
Currently, we do not offer Afterpay.
How long will it take to get my photographs?
Within two weeks of your portrait session, your final gallery will be ready. We'll make arrangements for your Ordering Appointment - which will take place on a weeknight in your own home - and you will be able to purchase products and packages from your gallery at this time.
Once final payment has been received, you will receive your images and product orders will be placed. Some products can take between 2 - 6 weeks to arrive, depending on the product you have purchased.
Do you provide images on cd or usb?
No, CD's are already becoming outdated and usb's and flashdrive's will eventually corrupt, leaving you with no family memories at all.
Your digital images are provided to you in an online gallery, password-protected and stored in the cloud, for the safest, digital storage option I can provide to you. We highly recommend you to download your images and save them to other locations on your PC, device or HD. Make two digital copies and store the other backup at an off-site location. (Grandparent's area a great option!)
Why do I get prints with my digital package?
Because prints are the ONLY GUARANTEED backup! Other than cloud storage (as long as you have internet access.) Should anything happen to your external harddrive, if your cd's or usb's end up corrupted over time, or you accidently delete or format your images, I can take a new high resolution photograph of your print and re-create a digital file for you.
Once a digital file is lost - it's lost - you might be able to retrieve it through your recycle bin or with (costly) data recovery, or you might not.
Digital files are not archival. Prints are - when looked after correctly, your prints will last for 75 - 100 years or more!
Your prints are more important than sentimentality - they are your ONLY back up.
Do you have a bluecard?
Photographers are not required to hold bluecards, and every year I check the Qld laws and I am always told the same thing. Photography is not an industry that requires a Bluecard.
This is because you, as parents, are always present with your children throughout a session - either in studio or outdoors - your children will always be within eye sight. We do not require bluecards when you are supervising your children at all times.
