“Over the last five years of my newborn portraiture career, I’ve upgraded my studio from the garage (and not a pretty permanent space like Sue had – I’m talking, ‘hide-the-laundry-the-treadmill-and-take-the-car-out-the-day-before-convert-every-Saturday’ type garage into my home (that I still convert for every session), to provide a comfortable, homely experience for my mum’s. (We do what we gotta do!)
Having three children, three miscarriages, bottle and breastfed for a goliath amount of different reasons for different children (incl. PND), I hope I offer my new and first time mums their first chance to stop. Breath. And relax since having their precious new bub.
I hope they find friendship, and someone they can trust and easily relate to with their emotions of being an overwhelmed - and often exhausted - new mum when they visit my studio.
I love capturing their baby’s first little expressions of personality and little mannerisms that often carry through into childhood as their bub gets bigger.”
